Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, I am a 22 year old who could be described as ambitious, hardworking, and a perfectionist. I enjoy being challenged with new tasks, as I believe discomfort allows one to grow and learn. I enjoy teamwork, but I am also capable of working on my own. I believe that communication is an important aspect of any relationship, especially professional ones, as it doesn’t leave any room for errors or misunderstandings. Therefore, I pride myself on being a skilled communicator. I am organised, goal-driven, and I find it very hard to set a task down once I have started. I may not have the most extroverted personality, but I do enjoy socialising with others in any setting. I recently graduated with a BA in English and Communication Science. While completing my degree, I worked as an editorial intern at Highbury Media, where I gained first hand experience in editing, publishing, and social media management. I was also able to sharpen my writing skills, which came in handy as I went on to work as a freelance writer for ClubX Magazine for over a year. Even though I do not have years of experience behind me, I am, however, eager to learn. And a fresh mind is always a benefit. When it comes to my free time, I enjoy reading, writing, and painting. I am also currently learning Italian and intend on tackling many other foreign languages.

Aero Crew News is a free news source for pilots and flight attendants. Every month we feature an airline, charter or cargo company along with other aviation related articles. We also publish a free monthly magazine. Aero Crew News is a pilot-hiring magazine designed for pilots by pilots. Most months, we feature a mainline carrier, a regional carrier or a charter company that includes valuable information about the company, plus an interview gouge provided by an interviewer. Each month's issue of Aero Crew News also includes a variety of relevant articles, industry news, and a reference grid that compares more than 30 contractual aspects of three dozen airlines' pilot contracts. The Grid is continuously updated with current information and additional airlines' contracts. Prior to being called Aero Crew News, this magazine started off as a simple newsletter called, The Regional Grid. The Regional Grid ran from October 2015 to February 2015. The main driving force behind this newsletter was to compare contract information for pilots. This information was displayed in a grid format, hence the name. This newsletter only focused on contracts and information pertaining to the regional airlines. Our first issue had very limited information in the grid, but through social media we were able to gather individual contracts and grow ‘The Grid.’ We attracted new readers by adding various articles to our newsletter. The Regional Grid ran for four months before we joined forces with Aero Crew Solutions. February 2015 was the fifth and last issue of The Regional Grid. Aero Crew News has several regular monthly columns, which include Perspectives, a column created by Professional Pilots of Tomorrow (PPOT). This column is dedicated to helping pilots transition from student pilot to airline transport pilot. The Fitness column is there to help encourage healthy living on the road and ways to add exercise into your daily life. Baggage is another healthy-living column that focuses on your mindset to help readers cope with the stresses that life on the road brings. Squall Line focuses on weather phenomena that our crew members may encounter while on a trip. Knowledge Base is included to educate or refresh our readers in their knowledge on a variety of aviation skills. The Careers column is designed to help pilots prepare for all the aspects of their interview of a lifetime.

Cuneo Airport is easy to reach from Piedmont and Liguria regions due to its very favourable geographic location and for being in the heart of the productive area and touristic region. Surrounded by the crow of the Alps, it's in a very special and beautiful position. Cuneo Levaldigi Airport has its historical roots at the end of Twenties, when in 1929 was born the Airport “Campo d’Aviazione di Fortuna”, with a surface of 75000 m2 and a grass runway. After the war the grounds were managed by the local famers until 1960 when the Aeroclub Provincia Granda got the permission to build the new airport. On October 1962, was born GEAC, the managing company of Cuneo Airport, due to a growing interest to develop the air traffic of the local institutions. The first actions of the new company are linked with a renewal program of expansion of the infrastructure and the runway. Since 1986 the Airport is officially open for the domestic commercial traffic by the Minister and since 1990 for the international traffic. In 1994 due to the upgrade of the fire brigade, aircraft up to 48 m are allowed to land. In 1997 a fire burnt most of the terminal, but in just one month the activity of the airport restarted. In 1998 GEAC spa started the executive project for the new terminal, who got finalized in 2004 with the inauguration of the present new Olimpica Torino – Cuneo Airport.
Giovanni Nicelli Airport is located in the prestigious setting of Lido of Venice, in the northern part of the island just ten minutes by boat from the city center. The air terminal, an example of perfectly preserved architecture, started in 1930s and solemnly inaugurated on 4 February 1935, is the oldest trading post in Italy. In 2014 the airport was included in the ranking of the ten most beautiful in the world by the BBC edited by Jonathan Glancey. Equipped with elegant interior spaces and large gardens and outdoor terraces, it is the ideal location for meetings and conferences, private dinners and events, exclusive parties, art exhibitions and film shoots. In 1915, with Italy's entry into the war against the Central Empires, the priceless artistic heritage of Venice was exposed to bombing by Austrian aircraft. The danger did not leave the French government indifferent, which proposed sending some fighters to protect the city. The offer was accepted by our staff and on 13 August of the same year, 36 men commanded by pilot captain Michel de Chalonge, left Lyon for the lagoon city who conducted 63 effective actions on strategic objectives. The initial deployment near Mestre proved unsuitable for timely interception of enemy aircraft before their arrival on the lagoon, thus making it necessary to search for a new base. With an original choice, the Navy Command, in charge of the Venetian stronghold, decided to create an airfield from the parade ground of the Fort of S. Nicolò al Lido. The space, enlarged with the demolition of some smaller buildings, demonstrated the feasibility of the project and on December 1st, after three months of work, the French squadron moved to the new headquarters, thus marking the birth of the Lidense airport, the current Nicelli. The choice was a happy one. The captain and his pilots, housed in the Hotel Paradiso, were often at the center of a worldly interest also favored by the excellent cuisine ensured by the four accompanying chefs. The department had illustrious visitors such as the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VIII, the writer Celine, and an exceptional godmother, the charming Baroness Nicola Winspeare Guicciardi. Gabriele D’Annunzio will become a regular of the place while the high Venetian aristocracy will open up more and more to French pilots. The presence of Gabriele d'Annunzio at the Lido, who moved from the famous Casetta Rossa on the Grand Canal in Via Lepanto 24, to participate in the risky events of the Adriatic war, represents a historical fact not without charm which was not overlooked by the French aviators who knew the artistic and worldly successes of the poet in their country. A singular proof of this admiration can be found in an image of a Spad plane on the Lido field with the inscription “Perhaps that yes perhaps that no”, the title of a famous work by the poet. During his life in Lidense D'Annunzio also confirmed himself as a creative in the field of military art, contributing in an original and effective way to the daring and insidious guerrilla warfare to be conducted at sea and in the air which Tahon di Revel himself had announced. The presence of D'Annunzio on the Lido field, the current Nicelli, was assiduous and creative. Commander of a Caproni squadron he experimented for the first time in Italy with the use of land torpedo bombers until the needs of the war required the full use of the unit on the land front. The Air Torpedo Squadron, created to emulate the legendary strikes from the air landed by the MAS flotilla, will therefore become a bombing unit, also based at the Lido airport, reinforced with SIA 9B aircraft. In October, Commander D'Annunzio will change her name and motto: he will call her S. Marco and for the motto he will abandon the Latin of "sufficit animus" for the Venetian word of "tu con nu nu con ti".

The Airworthiness Directive Toolbox is offered by Zook Aviation, a family owned and operated business. Our Founder, Reuben Zook, discovered his passion for aviation in the 1970's. Reuben began working with computerized AD research in 1990, when there were very few alternatives to microfiche and paper. With experience on the ramp, parts room and in the cockpit, he finally found his niche in maintenance and compliance. Reuben has spent the past 30 years dedicating his work towards delivering an accurate and reliable regulatory library to IA's and Maintenance Technicians. April Zook (Reuben’s wife), launched her aviation career in 1998, now totaling 21 years of experience with the general aviation industry. As our Customer Service and Marketing Manager, her mission is to educate our customers on the features and functions of the AD Toolbox through the Zook Aviation Help Blog and social media. This is how AirZafari came to be. From October 1st 2021 their daughter Mia Biilmann Larsen, born and raised in Greenland, took charge of both the company and cockpit. I am a God fearing individual ,and I’m also a father to two beautiful kids, a boy and a girl. I worked for Tekkie Town as a Sales Assistant and I was chosen as the best Sales person for the entire Mpumalanga province. I also worked for the Department of agriculture as a Data capture. I have a passion for sports, football is one of my favourites and one day I wish I can own a soccer team. While I was in high school, I always wanted to be a lawyer but due to financial constraints I could not become one. My interest in the justice system came when I realised that the late former president Mr Nelson Mandela was also a lawyer representing his people. I wish one day I could give back to my community and its people because my community gave us the likes of the late Steve Bantu Biko, one of the BCM Members who fought for the people of South Africa. My community is one of the underdeveloped communities of this country, but I know that one day all of this will change because I know that with education anything is possible. When a child is educated communities will change for the better and if one community changes, then our country will change for the better as well and poverty will be no more. Education topped with one’s perseverance is the key to a bright future for all. With this pandemic people have lost their jobs and in some households you find that no one is working and people resort to drugs and alcohol, some get depressed to a point of taking their own lives. If we can start developing jobs for people, our continent would become a better place for us all. Being part of an initiative that supports the empowerment of those less privileged is one of my greatest wishes. I will be glad if all my wishes do come through because nothing is as important as education and hard work, and an educated country means a better world for us all.

I board people’s family pets for prolonged stays preferably to ease the stress of worrying about their pets in cages. I have been doing the boarding for almost a year now and have a repeat doggo whom I love very much and his month stay is always a blessing. I fostered puppies and cats for shelters and they’ve all been adopted, I rescued a Staffordshire terrier from an outreach with a friend and healed him from the horrible mange he had and he got adopted by someone who flew from JHB and drove back up and now he lives the king life he deserves.
